Microsoft Windows 98 was an operating system used on a majority of personal computers from 1998 to 2000. Because of this, there are a variety of games available to play on Windows 98, but are incompatible with later versions of Windows. If you have Windows XP or higher, you have access to a "Compatibility Mode" that allows your computer to play those games. Activating compatibility mode is a simple procedure.

Right-click the file that you usually click on when you are trying to start a game.

Select the "Properties" option in the drop-down menu.

Select the "Compatibility" tab, then check the "Windows 98" box.

Select the proper video mode for your game under "Display Settings."

Select the "Apply" button to save your settings, and select "OK."

Double-click on your game's file to begin playing the game.

Hi houseofdoa, sorry to hear about your Furby issue. I did some looking around and I did discover that this indeed can be a problem with the Furby's but the good news is there seems to be a fix.

I found this guide that will walk you through exactly what tools you will need and how to do it

I really hope this helps you get your Furby's "back on their feet"!

I'm having the same problem with two furbies off ebay, both brand new in box, from two reputable suppliers. What's the odds that all seven furbies have something wrong with them? Small to nil. I think it's the batteries, we're not feeding them 1998 batteries and I dont think they like it too much.
