Just a suggestion; this option may not be available under this device, or that type port: Rather than unplugging the card, go to Device Manager, find the card, and under Properties, set the device to not turn off to save power.

Or try shutting down the wireless router, then restarting it.

Are you trying to open the router setup page? Make sure that your computer is connected to the router on LAN port. Check the IP address on the computer and Default gateway. Default gateway is the IP address on your router.

This is too involved to just post your router settings. I would recommend reading up on how to "cascade" your router or to make your Modem/Router act as a bridge.

The dlink will need to have its DNS disabled and have the Linksys do the DNS. Then the LInksys will be using the Dlink as its host. you may be better off seeing if you can make the dlink run in Gateway mode instead of router mode.

Then see how to implement the cascading router with your particular situation and WAN IP.

Hi,

Check that the two routers are using different IP ranges (IE: one with 192.168.0.x and the second with 192.168.0.x) as if they have the same range they will not talk.

Its not that the router is windows comparable it is on and Operating system can access it .

You need to set up the router with your account info from the company that supplies your INTERNET access.

You need to have a physical connection to the router to set it up use a standard eithernet cable and go to the default address which it should be (192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 ) either one of these is probility the default address and login in if it has never been changed should be ( user-admin password- admin or password )

hope it helps here is more info on how to set it up

This is a well documented problem with linksys routers. Go to google and type in "error 321 linksys". You will have to manually configure the router as stated on the linksys forum posts.

It is looking for the password for your disk, not the wifi password. This is a common issue when people connect a disk to a network as the user name and password are not compatible. The easiest solution is to ensure that the password and user name on your disk are the same as the user name and password on your computer. If this does not work, then it may be that the user who created the files on your disk is not the same as the user who wants to access them. This is one of the security features on the later versions of windows. The users may be you in both cases, but if the user name is different, then you will have trouble getting access. It is a bit involved changing the security and permissions to get around this, so I suggest you find a friend who knows how to do this, and who can show you what you need to do. The easiest way is to ensure that all files are read and write accessible by "everyone" where "everyone" is a windows guest user.

You can try turning off the router for 2 mins and try to access the user interface again . If turning off the device will not work then what you can do is connect the modem to the PC , download Firmware for your router , connect the router back to the computer ,access the user interface again and perform the upgrade .
