Nintendo Wii - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

Hi there!
North American TVs, consoles and DVD players play video and games in the NTSC format (region 1), while Ireland's and most of Europe's play in PAL(region 2). You best bet to be able to watch your dvd set will be to purchase a dvd player that plays multi regions (these will be a bit more expensive) or to order a region 2 dvd player from Ireland or somewhere in Europe that uses region 2.

Hope this helps!

I have found a solution at: http://www.wiihacks.com/blogs/mauifrog/316-error-003-fix.html. However it seems rather complex and involves modding. Apparently this problem only occurs on Korean Wiis that are out of the region and updated past the 4.2 system menu. Good luck with that one pal, I don't know where you got your Wii, and if it wasn't from Korea you have some questions to ask someone...

Same problem. Other boards all say check router, connection - mostly answers from people who don't know what they are talking about.
Doesn't seem to be a solution for it from nintendo right now

although majority of games can play online, some game is still intended for single player only. Check the game options and see if there is multiplayer options to play online , majority of games for Wii can play online.

If it's hacked you can play movie discs, if not just if the movie is in DivX, Avi, MPG or MOV format and you play them from a SD card.

The Wii doesnt play Blue-Ray "BD" Movies, only the PS3 does, also the Wii doesn't play DVD's.
You can get the Wii to play DVD's by cracking the system by placing files on a SD Card, but your Wii will never play Blue-Ray movie because the system doesn't have the blue laser in the cd drive, sorry.

Have a nice day

The game was released with a number of serious glitches. It's the publisher's fault, not yours. You can try to get the retailer to refund your money, but you will probably have to go to the publisher (2K Sports) to get your money back, and it probably won't be easy.

Sorry... and good luck.

If it freezes always with same disk then the disk is faulty.

I blew the Wii out with an air blower and all was well.  Apparently dust settled on the optic.

How long are you use it? If you just buy and have this problem, go back to the shop and show them. Or go to the service center.

This error code means that your Wii is unable to connect to your wireless network
Likely cause: It appears that the security settings entered into the Wii console are not the same as what your wireless router is set to allow.
How to fix: Make sure the security key and security type are entered into the Wii exactly as they appear in your router's settings
You can find more troubleshooting to resolve this at Nintendo's help database: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/results.jsp?error_code=51330&system=Wii&locale=en_US

This happened to my son. I did some reading and found out you have to resynchronize the remote. This is from the manual
1) Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
2)Remove th battery cover on the back of the remote and press the SYNC. button inside the cover. The Player LEDs will blink.
3)Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press the SYNC button on the inside of the compartment
4)When the Player LED blinking stops, connection is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number.
This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii remote added to your system.

This worked for me, hope it helps you.

try connecting the wii remote by taking the battery cover off and pressing the red button on the controller and the red button on the system at the same time

does the cursor show up? have you been pointing towards the sensor bar? Are the batteries ok?
anke sure you check everything and anything. Take a break to think and check out something in the manuel if something's missing.
