Code for what, exactly? Parental Controls can be bypassed with a secret question, if not you must contact Nintendo to get a Master Code.

  1. Navigate to the Wii Menu by pressing the HOME button on a Wii Remote and selecting "Wii Menu."
  2. Look at the date and time displayed on the Wii Menu and ensure they are correct. If incorrect, they will need to be changed in order for you to complete the PIN reset process. You will not be able to reset the PIN until the date is correct.
  3. Select the Wii Options icon in the lower-left corner of the Wii Channel Menu.
  4. Select "Wii Settings."
  5. Click on the blue arrow to reach the Wii System Settings 2 menu options.
  6. Select "Parental Controls," then "Yes."
  7. Enter your PIN or select "I forgot."
  8. Answer your secret question or tap "I forgot."
    • If you know the answer to your secret question, enter it to unlock parental controls. The system will go to the change parental controls screen and you will be able to change your PIN.
      • Be sure to enter the secret question exactly as you originally typed it, as the answer is case sensitive.
    • If you don't know the answer to your secret question, tap "I forgot."
  9. A screen will appear showing you a request code.
  10. With that request code, you will need to do a request that involves charging US$0.50 from a credit card, to confirm that you're an adult. Or should your kids try to circumvent your parental code, it will show up on your credit card bill.

You must have wireless service available, and the password for it if required. Go to menu and scroll through settings until you find network settings. Set up the wireless connection after Wii finds your service. Once setup, you can access the internet.

The USB interface is standardized. Knowing the pinouts isn't useful for creating your own headset, but here are the pinouts anyway:

There's no "activating" it. It only supports a limited number of devices, and most of those are only usable in certain games.

The only supported USB devices on the Wii are:

1. The LAN adapter. Use the Internet Connection settings in the Wii settings menu to set up.
2. The Wii Speak is compatible with about 13 games. Change the in-game settings to use.
3. Any USB keyboard (usable in the Wii Shop and Internet Channel)

This is normal. The Nintendo Wii is not designed to play CDs.

There is no "button." AOSS setup on the Wii U is done in software. Check the Internet Connection settings for the AOSS option.

The Wii doesn;t have any built-in capability to read hard drives. You willo need to check with the author of the homebrew program you are using for help.

You don't need Wi-fi specifically, but you do need an internet connection. If you do not have a wireless router, you will need to purchase a Nintendo Wii LAN adapter. This allows you to connect the Wii to a wired router using an Ethernet cable.

No. Only the video plug (the yellow one) and the left audio plug (the white one) need to be connected to the TV. You'll want to change the audio settings on the Wii to Mono; otherwise games may not sound right. This allows you to use the Wii on television sets that only have one audio input jack (mostly cheap ones).

There is no "computer Netflix." Netflix is a subscription service that can be accessed from any compatible device, including the Wii. Just download the Netflix Channel from the Wii Shop and follow the on-screen instructions to activate it.

They aren't supposed to light up. The sensor bar uses infrared light similar to that of a remote control. Infrared is invisible to the human eye. If you've seen videos of it lit up online, it is because some cameras can detect infrared (so they can use night vision).

The sensor bar can be placed either above or below the television. Be sure to select the appropriate sensor bar setting in the Settings menu, or you will have trouble controlling the remote.
