The technical term for this is 'broken'. Probably some grit or other item has entered the lens mechanism. Repair or replace - your choice.

Till now, there is no such software which can edit mts file. What people usually do is to convert mts to other regular format first, then use Windows Movie Maker, Sony vegas or other edit tools to do some editing.
I always use Pavtube Video Converter(http://www.pavtube.com/video_converter/) to help me convert mts files to other formats supported by my edit tool. For example, i tried to convert mts to wmv to import my Windows Movie Maker for editing.

MPEG4 motion video can be played back with Windows Media Player 6.4 or later. MPEG2 cannot be played back in Windows Media Player. Files created with our D-snap Video Cameras are designed for playback with the included MediaStage software and our DMR-E100H DVD Recorders.

Yes, I know Panasonic DVD S48, if your movie file is right divx avi movie file, you can directly transfer the divx avi movie file to your usb disk and play on your Panasonic DVD S48, but if your movie files isn\'t divx avi movie file, you have to use a right software to convert your movies to right divx avi movies, then transfer to your usb disk, convert any movies to divx avi movies.

This camera uses quicktime. Windows Media Player should play your molvies. If not, try VLC media player. You can burn a dvd that will play on a regular dvd player. Download DVD FLICK which will convert the files into MPEG which play on a dvd player.

The .MOV files are apple quicktime files. you can download quicktime or install K-lite codec pack, which will let you open the files in Windows Media player. It may even let edit them in Windows Movie-maker. Cheers.

I assume you can view them in you camera, right? If not, the following solution will not help.

The .MOV Apple QuickTime format Panasonic uses for its camera movie clips cause problem on with viewing, as seen from several other problem posts here and the net.

Some computer use a Win 32Bit operating system, other better ones use a Win 64. It is hard to believe QuickTime would let you load a 64bit version into a 32bit OS, or vice versa. But who knows. Rather double clicking on te file name itself, open QuickTime, then go to File Open and Browse to the file and select it that was. If this doesn't work, go to QuickTime website and try their User Forums first to ask a question or find a thread talking about movie files not playing. Else, CONTACT website and ask question. Post any solution here for readers.

I think you should install a software program that has the capability of opening mov file. This would become a plug-in for other programs and enable them to interpret it as mov file. or click on your movie file from camera and change its properties to be opened by a certain software that can open mov file and use it as the default program to open that file.

Hey! There are a lot of such conversion tools. I am now using this Wondershare DVD Converter Ultimate, which helps me convert various video format to any video/audio format I need(indcluding the format you have mentioned). And it also helps me burn dvd from video. It works well for me. You can also have a free trail of it. Hope that helps.

Panasonic Lumix... | Answered on Nov 14, 2019

for example, if you capture a video with your camera, it automatically creates 2 files: a thumbnail = a picture, and the movie. You're probably trying to view the thumbnail. Check the extensions of the files for those with .mp4 or .mov, those are the movies. These can be played with Quicktime or other players.

Your camcorder can only play back movies recorded on that specific device, due to the way the software within the camcorder works.
