I believe the stove needs an electricity supply. See if there is a switch somewhere in your kitchen or on your fusebox that may be switched off. The stove switch maybe hidden in a cupboard near the stove or even quite away from it.

Possibly blocked drain from evaporator. When fridge goes into reverse cycle ice melts on evaporator and drains to a dish on the motor housing, this evaporates when motor runs. May have a crack in this dish or drain pipe has a hole or not draining into dish.

Replacing the magnetic door seal might help, at least for awhile. Before replacing it, check for even sealing around the entire perimeter. Check the "flex" of the seal. Check for foreign matter in or on sealing surfaces. Check hinges for binding or misalignment. Apply some kind of marker (catsup comes to mind) to the entire gasket, close the door and inspect for gaps. Clean up promptly.

I have seen this before and it goes beyond the seal, if it was the seal, you would see vapor trails around the area where the seal is leaking. You may have a breakdown of foam in the door. How old is it?

We have an over the range GE microwave and my wife was cooking some pasta on the stove and used the vent fan on the microwave to dissipate the steam and when we were done eating she noticed that the steam from the pasta had gotten in between the glass on the microwave door, how can we get rid of this any ideas.

There should be a clock setting that allows you to select 12 hr vs. 24 hr. time.

Hi- It sounds like you diagnosed the problem correctly. There is a chance there is something wrong with the board but I would replace the top switch first. They are pretty expensive if I remember correctly and be careful of the wiring colors, the last one I changed had the wire colors reversed but the wire labels were correct. Good luck.

We have a Viking VIPR101 30" downdraft ventilator. We've learned that the ON-OFF switch on the side of the ventilator can overheat and burn out when it is held down continuously (poor design). Best to push and quickly release it. First time we had the switch professionally replaced--it's modular and very simple to swap out. Next time we fixed it ourselves with switch part # PV300182 from They had replacement guidance on-line. Hope this is useful.
